The sequel of Denzel Washington-starrer "The Equalizer" will be released on September 29, 2017.
The sequel will come three years after the original. Sony had officially announced the second installment in April during its CinemaCon presentation, reported Variety.
Washington is expected to reprise his role as vigilante Robert McCall in "Equalizer 2".
Chloe Grace Moretz and Marton Csokas co-starred in the original, based on the 1980s TV series of the same name.
