'The Imitation Game' wins big at Capri Film Festival

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch starrer historical thriller 'The Imitation Game' has won top honours at the Capri Hollywood Film Festival by bagging award for best picture and direction.
The biopic of war hero Alan Turing, who was prosecuted for his homosexuality, got its helmer Morten Tyldum the best director award at the event, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Timothy Spall bagged the best actor award for his performance in the biographical drama film 'Mr Turner', which is based on the life and career of British artist J M W Turner.
Jennifer Aniston for her role in 'Cake' and Amy Adams for her performance in 'Big Eyes' tied the best actress at the 19th annual event.
Ellar Coltrane of 'Boyhood' and Gugu Mbarta Raw of 'Beyond the Lights' were honored with the rising stars award, and best foreign film went to 'Ida', the Polish film directed by Pawel Pawlikowski.
The Italian American Icon Award was presented to 'American Hustle' director David O Russell.
The Lifetime Achievement Award went to English actress Brenda Blethyn and The Capri Legend Award to the poet of Italian music Francesco De Gregori. The Educational Award was won by Roberto Faenza's Holocaust-centered movie 'Anita B'.
Black comedy film 'Birdman' got the Visionary Award while Family Award was given to 'Boyhood' director Richard Linklater.
