The Maccabees split after 14 years as band

Indie rock band The Maccabees have announced their split after 14 years as a band.
In a statement from the British group, said "there have not been fallings out and we are grateful to say that we are not leaving the group behind as a divided force."
Describing the decision "incredibly difficult," the members said they would continue to make music and there would be farewell celebration shows, reported Digital Spy.
"We are very proud to be able to go out on our own terms, at our creative peak and off the back of the best and biggest shows we have ever done. It has been a rare and absolutely incredible time that we all feel very lucky to have shared," the statement read.

The Maccabees celebrated their first number one album last summer with their fourth record "Marks to Prove It.
