"Such activities are causing road accidents, road rage, traffic jams, mental agony and harassment and several other problems to the citizens," the plea said. Seeking legal or departmental actions against offending officials, staff and local councillors, the petition said, "There is rampant corruption and sharing of illegal gratification have been going on between police, local councillors and higher officials regarding the money collected from illegal encroachment and construction."
