Prices of thoor dal and gram dal also increased while moong dal decreased during the week.
Thoor dal and urad dal opened the week strongly at Rs 16,200 and Rs 15,900, respectively, an increase of Rs 400 and Rs 900 per quintal from the previous week close and held on to the gain till today.
Sugar opened the week at Rs 3,100, up by Rs 80 per quintal from its previous week closing rate of Rs 3,020 and traded at the same rate till the week end.
Prices of gram dal (Rs 6,500), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kg) (Rs 2,500) and sooji (90 kg) (Rs 3,200) ruled steady throughout the week.
