Thousands take part in car festival of Subramaniasamy temple

: Thousands of devotees today participated in the car festival of Sri subramaniaswamy temple here, the first abode of Lord Muruga, and offered prayers to the presiding deity.
Earlier yesterday the celestial wedding of Lord Muruga with Deivayani was held. The idols were brought out on a silver elephant 'vahana' and flower decked palanquin respectively.
