Thousands visit 'Know Your Army' exhibition in Jaipur

A large number of students and locals visited a two-day equipment display 'Know Your Army' organised by the South Western Command of the Army here.
Over 3,000 students and teachers of different schools and colleges along with a large number of residents of Jaipur and adjoining areas visited the exhibition, Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said.
A number of sophisticated weapons and war fighting equipment were displayed for the general public during the exhibition held at the SMS Ground here, which was yesterday inaugurated by Major General R S Thakur of the South Western Command.
Armoured fighting vehicles, artillery guns, surveillance and communication equipment, infantry weapons and engineer equipment were on the display.

"The aim of this display is to spread awareness among the citizens, especially the youth, regarding the culture, ethos and war fighting potential of Indian Army," he said.
