A police team, on patrol, recovered 1.1 kg of ganja from two persons riding a motorcycle after intercepting them.
The two were identified as Ranjitkumar from Theni and Suresh from Madurai, police said adding they had brought ganja from Theni for supply to local peddlers.
Based on information provided by them, police were searching for others involved in the racket.
Both were arrested and remanded to custody.
In another incident, one Shahul Hameed was arrested and 100 grans of ganja seized from him in Ukkadam last evening, police said.
