Three hotel management students were today arrested for beating up an official and ransacking the premises of a private hospital in Salt Lake, police said.
They were in an inebriated state and had turned up at the hospital yesterday to treat a head injury one of them had sustained, police said.
Since it was an injury following an accident, the hospital manager got in touch with the Bidhannagar North Police Station for completing the formalities. This angered the youths and they started beating up the manager.
Of the three, two hailed from Punjab while one is a local.
After beating up the manager, they started ransacking the hospital but were stopped by the police, who arrived immediately.
A case was registered against the three and they would be produced before a local court soon, the police said.
