Award season's favourite "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" has inspired online activist group Avaaz's protest near Miami, Florida following the deadly shooting at a Parkland high school. The shooting in which 17 people were killed and 14 others were injured, three trucks were parked close to the Doral-based office of Senator Marco Rubi and each carried one line of a message for the Florida lawmaker, reported Entertainment Weekly. "Slaughtered in school." "And still no gun control?" "How come, Marco Rubio?" The protesters took a cue from Frances McDormands character in the Oscar-nominated film, which sees a mother erect three signs criticising the police's inability to track down her daughter's killer.
