The three-day event attracted Buying Agents and Buyers from Canada, Algeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia, China, Singapore, Serbia, Australia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Israel, the UK and the USA.
The participants have got good enquiries from the overseas buyers and buying agents with an expected business of around Rs 200 crore, Shaktivel, Chairman, India Knit Fair Association, joint organisers with Apparel Export Promotion Council, said in a release.
He pointed out that the fair assumed significance as the garment export was progressing well and within three years, Tirupur will double the exports.
A total of 53 leading exporters from Tirupur, Ludhiana, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hooghly, Thane, Salem, Chennai, Bhopal, Bengaluru and Coimbatore, had put up stalls in the fair.
