Three drown in pond in West Bengal
Three persons, including two minor boys, drowned on Friday while bathing in a waterbody in Jagatipota in South 24 Parganas district, police said.
Ranak Das (17), Subhajit (19) and Shan Roy (14) drowned in a pond in Jagatipota under Narendrapur Police Station limits, when they along with three other friends went there to bathe, they said.
The three were declared brought-dead when taken to a nearby hospital, police added.
