Three GJM MLAs to resign on Sept 23: GJM

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) has announced that its three MLAs in the West Bengal Assembly will resign to protest the alleged non-cooperation of the state government with the Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA).
"GJM's three MLAs from Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Kurseong will resign from the Assembly on September 23 for non-coopearion of the state government with the GTA," its General Secretary Roshan Giri told reporters here yesterday.
The state government had also yet to transfer several departments to the GTA as agreed earlier, Giri said.
GJM Assistant General Secretary Vinay Tamang was also present at the press conference.
