Based on a tip-off, police raided a house at Tirupur and found some quantity of venison, hidden there.
Maniyan (60), hailing from Andipalayam, Venkatesh (23) from Tiruvannamalai and Saravanan (23) from Pudukottai, who were present there, were taken into custody for questioning, along with the venison, police said.
They were handed over to district forest department officials for further action, they said.
Meanwhile, search was on for Ravikumar, son of Maniyan and two of his accomplices in connection with the seizure, they said.
