It occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday when the victim mistakenly boarded the train, heading for the yard, thinking it was going to her destination Rajahmundry, they said.
Among the three accused, Deddukunta Koti Reddy (30) has a criminal record, whereas Konapola Raju (37) is a contract cleaner at the yard and Serigi Gopi (28) a ragpicker, said Kothapet police inspector Sahira Begum in a release.
The woman filed the complaint with the Vijaywada Government Railway Police after the incident as one of the accused had claimed that he was an RPF constable.
However, it was revealed during the investigation that one of the accused Reddy had threatened the victim claiming he was the RPF constable, Sahira said.
