The injured have been identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, Naeem and Saleem. All of them were admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
The incident happened when an altercation broke out between the two groups over a person from the other group entering the queue. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
In another incident, people blocked Panipat Highway in Kairana outside a Punjab National Bank branch and raised slogans over shortage of cash. The highway was re-opened after the police pacified the protesters.
Long queues have been seen outside banks all over the country since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes to curb black money.
