Some associates of the kidnappers, however, managed to escape after the operation.
"Over half a dozen kidnappers not only looted a Dy Commandant of CRPF but kidnapped his brother and one more person near Chhata sugar mill along with the vehicle they were travelling with," police said.
They later waylaid both the kidnapped persons on Chhata Shergarh route, SP Rural Anil Kumar Rai said.
Police not only nabbed the three kidnappers but also recovered the scorpio of Dy Commandant CRPF Narendra Kumar, who was going to Farrukhabad from Delhi, along with the articles looted by this gang that include laptops, mobiles, cash etc.
"Of course, we have taken help from Haryana police to make a successful encounter. The kidnappers belong to Amu Mev gang," he added.
