Three killed in road accident
The mishap took place as the truck collided with the van which lost control and fell down in a road-side ditch, Superintendent of Police Surendra Lal Das said adding that its three occupants were killed on the spot, while 12 others sustained injuries.
The deceased persons were identified as Asha Devi (50), Shakuntala Devi (45) and Rahul Kumar (12).
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured admitted to hospital.
The ill-fated vehicle was carrying members and relatives of a family from Patna to Rajrappa in Jharkhand for tonsure ceremony of a boy, Das said.
