The deceased in the accident last night were identified as Shereefa (48), her daughter Haseena (28) and grand daughter Shafna (5), they said.
The family was returning to their village after attending a marriage near Meppadi in the district.
The injured have been admitted to private hospital. The accident occurred last night when the the driver lost control while negotiating a curve, police said.
