Bodies of Shaikh Fatima (27), her 6-year-old son Altaf and her mother Anisha (47) were fished out from a canal, Station House Officer, Pedakakani police station Sesharao said.
Fatima married Shaikh Nagur Bazi 10 years back. However, since the last four years, Bazi was harassing Fatima for dowry, hence she returned to her father's place four months back, police said.
She registered a compliant in this regard. Police sent the couple to family counselling centre. On last Saturday, Bazi promised Fatima that he will take her and Altaf's care, the officer said.
Prima facie, the trio would have jumped into the river. A case has been registered and investigations are underway, police said.
