Those arrested have been identified as Abdul Hafeez, Atiya Khulsum and their daughter Sabina Sultana, said police officials.
The victim was married to one Usman Qureish, who left for a job assignment to US, soon after marriage. Later he sent divorce papers to her and also a message on social media saying "talaq talaq talaq", a police official of Moghalpura said.
"Hafeez (father-in-law) informed us that his son has sent divorce papers and informed about talaq to his wife through a message.
"The victim says she did not receive any divorce papers from her husband. We are consulting Sharia (Muslim Law) experts," said a police officer.
The police had earlier booked a case under Section 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) against the trio and the case is under investigation.
