"We had received a tip-off that three people were on their way from Jammu and Kashmir with a large quantity of hashish to sell to their clientele. We got to know the trio is onboard the Swaraj Express. Accordingly, a trap was laid and they were arrested," NCB sources said.
Those arrested have been identified as Munna Sheikh, Rukhsana Sheikh and Mumtaz Sheikh. They have been booked under various sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
"He used to take the help of women to supply the hashish. When he was caught today, there were two women travelling with him, who have been identified as Rukhsana Shekh and Mumtaz Sheikh," the officer said.
"We found 26.5 kg of hashish in their possession worth Rs 1.3 crore in the international market," sources said.
