Police have recovered Rs 13 lakh from a gang, which was a part of the amount allegedly looted by a gang from three youths.
Police Commissioner A Amalraj told PTI today that three youths boarded a bus to a nearby village at the bus stand yesterday with a bag containing Rs 25 lakh collected from industralists in Chikmagalur in Karnataka to hand over it to families of workers at Kallakurichi in Villupuram district.
Three persons posing as police officials threatened them, snatched the bag and fled the scene.
