Three teenagers drown in Telangana pond

Three teenage boys drowned in an irrigation pond at Pallimakta village in Rajanna Sircilla district today, police said.
The incident occurred around 12:30 pm soon after Enganti Sanjeev, Kudukala Manohar, and Kudukala Raju (all aged 15) entered the pond for swimming, according to police.
"The trio didn't realise the depth of the water and drowned soon after," Konaraopet police station sub-inspector B.Ramesh said.
He said the deceased trio were the students of class X in the government high school in Suddala village.
Ramesh said bodies of Sanjeev, Manohar, and Raju were fished out of the pond by villagers with the help of local police, and were subsequently sent for postmortem at the government hospital in Sircilla.
