Three youth shot dead; ultra hand suspected

Three teenagers were today shot dead in Bero block of Ranchi district and the police suspected any splinter group of the ultra outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) could be behind the incident.
The police were investigating in this line into the killings at Meso village, Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar said.
The police were also looking into whether any of the deceased had links with any naxal group, he added.
The deceased were identified as Jeet Mahto, Aditya Gop and Upendra Mahto and all were in the 17-18 age group, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Surendra Kumar Jha said.

Agitated villagers blockaded the Ranchi-Lohardga road in protest against the incident.
