Hockey fans at Kalinga Stadium here were seen desperately trying to get hold of tickets for tomorrow's two semifinal matches. The tickets were sold out in the morning hours itself and fans were seen standing in front of counters still trying their luck to buy tickets.
Speaking on the tickets getting sold out, Md. Mushtaque Ahmad, Secretary General Hockey India, said "The crowd wanted to watch India-Pakistan match. I am sure hockey fans tomorrow will get a real treat seeing Pakistan and India fighting it out for a final berth. This will be not only for spectators sitting here at the stadium but fans across the world will be watching it LIVE.
The semifinal day will commence with play-offs for the 5-8 placement matches, with the first semi-final getting underway at 17:15 IST between Germany and Australia before the India vs Pakistan clash at 19:30 IST.
