Tiger mauls three villagers

A tiger mauled three persons at SMalti area of the district, a forest official said today.
While one person was attacked on the shoulder, another on the waist as they walked too close to the tiger after spotting it yesterday, Range Officer Viswanath Prasad said.
The tiger also attacked another villager last evening.
All the three injured villagers were out of danger.
Early this morning, the tiger retreated into the nearby forest, he said.
