Director Ang Lee claims that a tiger's near-drowning incident in his last project 'Life of Pi' was just an accident.
Lee, 59, responded to the recent controversy after a website broke an investigative report over alleged unsafe conditions for animals on the site of his 2012 film 'Life of Pi', reported the New York Daily News.
"It was an accident. The crew worked hard to rescue the tiger and then showed him a lot of care, giving him five-star treatment. We gave a lot of care to the tiger, as much as we possibly could," he said.
'Life of Pi' was a 3D live-action and computer-animated adventure drama film based on Yann Martel's 2001 novel of the same name.
