One incident took place at the forest in Benifeli area on early Monday, while the other one happened on Wednesday last.
A tiger jumped on 42-year-old Kanu Ghosh injuring him severely when a team of five persons were catching crabs. Ghosh's companions attacked the big cat with sticks and oars and the animal fled leaving him.
Police said when they took Ghosh to Kultali hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The victim was a resident of Madhya Gurguriya in Kultali.
Another crab catcher, 45-year-old Dilip Mondal, was mauled to death by a tiger on November 28.
