Time for concerted global action against terror: India

India today said the dastardly terror attacks in Egypt once again highlighted the urgent need for concerted action by the international community to effectively deal with the scourge of terrorism.
"India, herself facing cross border terrorism, stands by the people and the Government of Egypt in our common fight against terrorism.
"The dastardly attacks in Egypt again highlights the urgent need for concerted action on the part of the international community against the scourge of terrorism," the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
At least 45 people were killed and nearly 120 injured in the powerful blasts in two churches packed with worshippers in Tanta and Alexandria cities yesterday.

"We offer our deep condolences to the bereaved families and wish speedy recovery to the injured," the MEA said.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had condemned the attacks.
"Deeply pained by the attacks in Egypt. We condemn these attacks. My thoughts are with families of the deceased and prayers with the injured," he had tweeted.
