Tin strengthens on good demand

Tin prices strengthened in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metals market here today on sustained stockists buying amidst good demand from alloy industries.
Meanwhile, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, brass, and zinc prices edged down owing to lower offtake from consumer industries.
On global front, industrial metal copper was ruling flat in early trade ahead of China data that was expected to show global headwinds dragging on the country's economic growth, clouding the outlook for metal demand.
Tin climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,200 from last Saturdays closing level of Rs 1,190, while copper armiture and lead inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 396 and Rs 123.

However, brass utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 295 from previous closing level of Rs 297.
Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 403, Rs 374, 303 and 155 respectively.
