TN Govt asks traders to register in GSTN portal

: With the Centre keen on implementing the ambitious Goods and Services Tax across the country, Tamil Nadu government today asked traders to register in the website created by the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN).
GSTN has set up www.Gst.Gov.In and those registered traders should register themselves in the portal, an official release from State government said.
A temporary registration name and password would be provided from the State government website to the traders, enabling them to register themselves in the GSTN website.
Stating that the Commercial Tax department plans to conduct a special camp educating the traders, the release urged the businessmen to register in the portal, besides taking part in the camp.
