: The Tamil Nadu government today said it is considering introducing Yoga in schools, particularly in rural areas.
"The government is holding discussions with yoga experts, as students need not only education, but extra-curricular activities like yoga," School Education Minister K S Sengottayan told reporters at the airport here.
On the February 18 trust vote, he said AIADMK MLAs had kept their cool during the ruckus in the assembly and proved that they were in the majority.
To a question on reports that some MLAs who had voted for the winning V K Sasikala faction were not allowed in their constituencies, he said he had not faced any such problem.
Sengottayan said he had participated in two functions in his constituency since that day, which was attended by more than 10,000 people, he claimed
The minister asserted that the AIADMK's two leaves symbol belonged to the faction headed by Sasikala after they had won the trust vote and that some people were spreading 'false news' that it belonged to them.
He said the Palaniswami led government was implementing schemes announced by the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in letter and spirit.
