TN Guv, CM, political leaders extend Meelad-un-Nabi greetings

Tamil Nadu Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and a host of leaders today extended greetings on the occasion of Meelad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, to be celebrated, tomorrow.
"Prophet Mohammed emphasized on hardwork, good deeds and leading a simple life. Let us strive to follow the principles laid by the Holy Prophet, spread harmony and happiness and lead a humble and noble life", Rao said in a Raj Bhavan release.
"On the holy occasion of Meelad-un-Nabi, I convey my heartiest greetings to all my Muslim brethren", he said.
Chief Minister O Panneerselvam in his greetings recalled the services provided by the AIADMK government for the benefit of the Muslim community.
"The government led by late J Jayalalithaa has taken various steps including providing of rice to mosque during Ramzan month, increasing the annual subsidy to Tamil Nadu Wakf Board to Rs one crore among others.", he said.
"I assure that the services provided by the Government for the benefit of the Muslim society will continue in future. Let there be peace and brotherhood prevail on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed..", he said.
PMK Leader S Ramadoss, MDMK Chief Vaiko also extended their greetings on the occasion.
