Tamil Nadu National Law School (TNNLS) would be expanded and all efforts would be taken to make it the numero uno in the country, a top official said today.
As part of the expansion, additional faculty members would be appointed and more facilities would be provided to the students, TNNLS Registrar Arun Roy told reporters here.
The institute was set up in 2013 at Srirangam.
More books and journals would be purchased to enable the students to gain more knowledge on the recent developments in the legal realm, he said.
Additional faculty members would be recruited as Guest Lecturer to teach the students, he said adding medical facilities for both students and teachers would be scaled up.
He was speaking to media after a two-judge team from Madras High Court inspected the facilities at the school, set up at a cost of Rs 100 crore on the orders of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, when she was representing Srirangam assembly constituency.
