TN school toppers taken on board Coast Guard ship

Sixty-five school toppers of the secondary and higher secondary board exams this year in Tamil Nadu were taken on Coast Guard ship as part of giving them an exposure on the CG operations in the region.
The students were taken on board the CG ship,'Sagar' and explained about the functions of the Coast Guard which include search and rescue operations on the Eastern coast which runs 7,516 km long, a CG release said.
The students were also taken on a tour aboard the ship,the release said.
