The incident took place when the toddler-- J Sivakesav-- was playing in the open area outside his home this evening in Harbour Park here.
Dr Aruna, the Chief Medical Officer of the King George Hospital, where the boy was taken to after the canines attacked him, said he was brought dead to the hospital.
According to the boy's mother, Ramanamma, the incident took place when she was busy cooking. "The boy went out to play without my knowledge and when I went out looking for him, I found him surrounded by dogs. He was lying near thicket in a critically injured state.
