Placed on a table in the Pentagon headquarters' hallway, the one inch to seven feet model looks like an exact photocopy of the Abbottabad building that the 54-year-old then most wanted terrorist lived in for five years before his death on May 1 last year.

Built in six weeks by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the secret replica even contains a parked red van that intelligence officials often observed at the site.

Not to forget is the exact landscape and even the dish antena and the water heater.

To keep the entire model built from Styrofoam and acrylic as precise as possible, measurements were produced using a process called photogenic measurement, which uses shadows to work out specific heights.

"The mock-up was an instrumental device in planning the raid that killed Osama bin Laden," an unnamed US official involved with the planning and delivery of the US Navy SEAL raid was quoted as saying by Fox News.
