The show, which begins filming this week, will document the couple in almost real-time as they navigate the unknown road ahead, beginning when McDermott leaves treatment, reported Us magazine.
McDermott, 47, entered rehab in January after he cheated on Spelling, 40, his wife of seven years, with another woman.
The docu-series will also allow the audience to witness the most difficult and unpredictable period in her life.
