Unemployed youth in Uttarakhand will now get a hiked subsidy of 50 per cent to buy buses under the state tourismdepartment's self-employment scheme.
Currently, 25 per cent subsidy is given.
Making the announcement here, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat asked officials to expeditiously prepare a proposal hiking the subsidy given to beneficiaries under theVir Chandra Singh Garhwali tourism self-employmentscheme from25 to 50 per cent, an official release here said.
The quantum of subsidy has been increased to encourage more and more youth of the state to avail the scheme, it said.
