Two British nationals were killed and 13 others injured when three carriages of a chartered toy train carrying a group of tourists from Britain derailed yesterday afternoon on the Shimla-Kalka narrow gauge route near Parwanoo between Kalka and Taksal stations.
A statement issued by Max Hospital in Mohali stated that Halder Calder (58), Ian Calder (60), Paul Carr (44), Stephen Frasher (63), Marion Homes (64), Judic (67), Richirj (72), Robert (65), John (74) and Christine Fraser (62) were discharged after first-aid.
While Andrew Summerhayes (40) who received head injury was under constant observation of doctors, George Bertram (50) has a lacerated wound on the scalp which has been sutured and had a soft tissue injury on the right arm, Dr Arya said.
Diana Logan (40) had an avulsion of the scalp which has been sutured by the plastic surgeon. She also has facial injuries, he added.
