Trade leader shot dead in Mathura

A local trade leader was shot dead allegedly by two bike-borne youths here this evening, police said
"Hunt for the assailants has begun on war footing," said SP (rural) Arun Kumar Singh, who reached Kosi police station, where hundreds of residents were demanding arrest of the accused.
Police said that Krishna Pal Singh was shot at allegedly by the two youths who managed to flee after committing the crime.
Singh was rushed to local hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The police then brought the body at the police station. Hundreds of residents were demanding immediate arrest of assailants in front of Kosi Kalan police station and SP (rural) was trying to pacify them, when the last reports came in.
Singh was President of Khadyanna Vikreta Vyapaari Sangh, Kosi Kalan and custodian of Sri Ram Lila Sansthan, Kosi Kalan.
