Bipin Kumar, owner of a grocery shop in Khari Bavali in Delhi, had gone to Kosi Kalan to recover money from some defaulters who had purchased articles from his shop, they said.
According to the police, Kumar boarded a Hariyana Roadways bus from Kosi Kalan and was en route Delhi when the bus stopped at an eatery near Hodal area for meal. While other passengers deboarded the bus, Kumar decided to stay back.
Two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths reached the spot, boarded the bus and tried to snatch Kumar's bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh. When he resisted, the miscreants allegedly opened fire and managed to flee with the bag, police said.
