Trader's body found, vehicle set on fire in protest

Local traders of Jaygaon today protested and gheraoed the police station after a body was found in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district.
The body of one Rajkumar Pandey was recovered following which the local traders in protest closed down shops, gheraoed Jaygaon police station and set ablaze an abandoned vehicle, police said.
Pandey was allegedly killed by anti-social elements, they said.
The police to control the situation fired two rounds of tear gas to disburse the traders who were protesting against alleged frequent attacks on them by anti-social elements in the area.
The situation was subsequently brought under control, police said.
