Traffic constable killed in road mishap in J-K

A traffic police constable was killed today after being hit by a truck on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway near Digdol area, police said.
The truck driver deliberately rammed into the police constable identified as Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Achabal in Anantnag district, when he was trying to stop the driver for violating traffic rules on the highway, they said.
"Qayoom died on the spot and a case of murder has been registered against the accused truck driver who fled from the spot," SSP Traffic National Highway Sanjay Kotwal told PTI.
