Train crushes boulder placed on track by 3 migrant workers

Three migrant workers were arrested Saturday on charges of placing a boulder on the railway track near Pollachi in the district, police said.

However, the train crushed the rock on the tracks without any untoward incident and the driver informed the railway police.

A police team went to the spot where there were a large number of migrant workers from Bihar were staying and inquired.

Inquiry revealed three of the workers had under the influence of liquor placed the boulder on the railway track Friday night. They were arrested, the police said.

Further investigations are on.
