Train hits buffalo on track

The Pearl City Express Train bound for Chennai from Tuticorin was held up for two hours after it hit a buffalo on the track between Tiruchirappalli and Ariyamangalam early this morning.
Police said the carcass got stuck in the wheel of the engine and it took more than two hours to remove it.
Six trains were also delayed following the incident.
Pothigai Express, Ananthapuri Express, Sethu Express, Mangalore and Pandiyan express trains bound southwards arrived here late by two hours while the Tiruchi Rockfort express was delayed by one hour.
