Mohammad Akbar Mir, a resident of Nihalpora village, was crossing the railway track last evening when the accident took place, a police spokesman said.
Mir was run over by the train at Hanjiwara near Pattan, 30 kms from here, resulting in his on-the-spot death, the spokesman said.
