Tribals urge governor to protect land under 5th Schedule

After the protest march, a delegation handed the governor a memorandum urging him to intervene in transfer of tribal land as the 5th Schedule of the Constitution that "prohibits or restrict the transfer of land by or among members of the Scheduled Tribes", JDP chief Salkhan Murmu said.
