The CRPF and Police on Monday paid tributes to DIG, CRPF Shailender Vikram Singh, who died after his vehicle was crushed under a huge boulder during a landslide on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district.
A wreath laying ceremony was organised in the DIG's honour at 160 battalion headquarters at Chatha in Jammu, CRPF officers said.
A military send off was organised, wherein DGP of J&K Police, Dilbag Singh, Special DG CRPF, Zulfiqar Hassan, Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, among others including CRPF and Police dignitaries and civilians laid wreaths here, they said.
